We just released the latest LLR 3.8.9 for all platforms. If you've been using app_info to enable use of AVX, you may not need to do so anymore.
Please see this post for more information.
Note: AVX support is not available for AMD Bulldozer CPUs.

Is this AVX update also for all Bulldozer CPUs supporting AVX? If not, then there do not exist any "AVX enabled LLR app" for me because I have an AMD FX8350. You said it exist for all platforms which includes all AVX supporting OSs and CPUs. So if it (still) not work on AMD Bulldozer/Prozessors you should change your post please. The forum post is useless for me because it contains no information about AMD FX Prozessors.

It would work, but it is not used, because AVX is slower than SSE2 on Bulldozer CPUs.

So I can use AVX for test reasons if I want? I have just to change the app_info. May be in future versions the problem is solved, if there is not a problem into Vishera CPUs.

We don't have different AVX and SSE2 versions of LLR. It's a single LLR application, and it uses the fastest transform available. Since BOINC is already running the AVX version of LLR on your computer, using app_info won't help you.

I have a request for you: Could you try running the new GeneferAVX executable from the command line and see how it compares to the existing stock application? I realize your question was about LLR, but I'm not sure if any of the genefer developers have a Bulldozer CPU to test with, so your help would be greatly appreciated.
The Genefer code is unrelated to the LLR code, so it's possible the AVX code may work on Bulldozer, may run slower, or may just crash. If you could test it out, that would be very helpful.
You can use "-b" on the command line to run benchmarks that will show you how fast the program is running. You can also download the SSE3 version of genefer to use as a comparison.
Links to download the applications can be found here: http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=4889
Thank you!
(I'll go ahead and change the post above with regards to Bulldozer. Thanks for bringing the Bulldozer issue to my attention.)
