I have the following line in prpclient.ini:

server=FPS:100:5:prpnet.primegrid.com:12002

And according the the PRPNet stats page 5 numbers have been assigned to the machine. But in the client directory on the computer there is only one number in work_FPS.in, pfgw.ini also only references one number, i.e. the one it currently works on.

Are the assigned numbers locally saved elsewhere? The point is that the machine should be able to work a couple of days without internet connection.

All workunits are stored in work_FPS.save. work_FPS.in is the number that pfgw/llr is currrently testing.

Thanks, the numbers are there. The client will not return completed WUs as long as there are still unfinished ones in the queue, right?

I don't have access to the computer and noticed it doesn't return results.

Unfortunately with stopasapoption=0 it continues processing all work units before returning them. As the stopasapoption is checked after every test, I wish there was an option that "returns completed work and then continues processing" in effect a combination of option 3 (return results) and option 0 (continue processing).

If/when you get access to the ini files you can set startoption=0 (prompt on startup) and use the trick of closing down the exe (CTRL-C stop) then quickly restarting the exe and at the prompt hit 3 (return completed and then continue). The nice thing about startoption=0 is that it only triggers when there are pending tests otherwise it is just like starting fresh.

PRPNet was designed the way it was to reduce load on the server if there are many clients and short tests (short meaning tests taking less than a minute). Since you are connected to a server running long tests, I suggest changing the max work units for the server to 1 in the prpclient.ini file.
