|You know, I LOVE to see old computers put to good use. When somebody tosses a pc out because they can\'t get it to function properly, I sieze the moment. I\'ve had 4 cheap P2 and P3 systems come my way, and I\'ve made each one run better than ever (and sold 2 of them for a little extra money). I\'m working on getting 2 more up and running next month for just a few bucks, too. I believe that it\'s important to build a nice system, and maintain it properly inside and out (defrag, virus scan, spyware scans) and remove every piece of OEM garbage that robs the cpu & memory of its efficiency.|
I am obviously an Asthmatic, and carry an inhaler around with me everywhere I go - something I\'ve had to do since I was 6 back in 1978. They (the doctors) all said that I\'d grow out of it and here I am nearly 30 years later still waiting. I don\'t mind the asthma, but it does get bothersome when I\'m cleaning out an old pc for the first time.
I used to have multiple names and different-named teams for each project I supported, but I recently combined them all into this team. (My original team back in the old days of SETI@home was \'Asthmatic Zealots and Toaster Repairmen of the New World Order\').
I am the Maintenance Coordinator for a General Aircraft Repair Station called Triad Aviation, Inc. in Burlington, NC. I do all of the customer service and paperwork associated with aircraft repair, and spend some time working with the FAA. I am married to a beautiful woman, and I have a wonderful 7 yr-old daughter (with a great computer, too.)
