| Description | Raiders of the Lost Primes (ROLP) was founded at the No Prime Left Behind non-BOINC project in 2008 by a conglomeration of NPLB members not affiliated with a team at the time. Our aim in banding together is to better foster a fun atmosphere of competition than would not otherwise be had by merely participating without a team. All of the current NPLB admins are members of ROLP, though there are a number of other members as well. ROLP is mostly an NPLB thing at this time though is present in small concentrations at the Sierpinski/Riesel base 5 and Prime Sierpinski Problem projects as well (IIRC).
Our team leader, Gary (a.k.a gd_barnes on mersenneforum.org), also the head admin of NPLB, is not active in BOINC, so I'm serving in lieu of him as the BOINC team founder.
If you'd like to find out more information about ROLP or are interested in joining our team, please drop us a line in our forum! Right now it's not much (since our de facto "leaders" are mostly busy with their other jobs of administrating NPLB and its sister project, Conjectures 'R Us), but eventually we'll get around to putting together some more serious promotional materials. :-) |
