Edit: More seriously, it would depend on how far the task has progressed. If it's only 25% done, I'd probably abort it. If it's 75% done, I'd definitely let it finish.
Thanks for the information. The workunit have 41% done and runs more than 5 hours without "maxErr exceeded"-Message. I will run it to end.

I have a question:
On my GTX 580 are 26 "maxErr exceeded"-Messages in the stderr.txt . I reduced the temperature by better cooling and reduced the speed now.
It is better to abort the WU or it is ok to run the WU to end?
Edit: I use cudaGFNWR.

You have to install the "Service Pack 1" for Win7 and AVX will run. The PC from this URL has no SP1 installed.
Thanks for this info!! Yes, this Computer don't have SP1 - i will update it after the Challenge.

I have a problem only with one Windows 7 Ultimate PC (i7-3770K). If i got AVX WUs they will stop immediatly with an error. After 2 Sets of workunits with this error i loaded non AVX WUs - they are running fine. What is the reason - i don't find a Setting for AVX in BIOS.

Sorry - this question is for the Pony Express Challenge - it is possible to move it?

I have seen that the higher credit will be granted for pending WUs completed before your message, but validated later. The new credit system is running now?

That's only temporary. Usually within 24 hours the task limit will be automatically increased from 15 to 50, and additional tasks will be sent out. You will receive credit eventually as long as the result your computer returned is correct.
Thanks for this information, then i will start a 3rd Workunit for GFN World Record.

The subproject "GFN World Record" isn't a good choice. In my case i spent 3,5 days of graphic power with my GTX 580, sent a successfully completed result back to project, but no wingmen with a valid result was found and my graphic power was wasted and not honored by project!

My 2nd Workunit is also finished and still in pending, i hope it will find a wingman with a valid result.

If no wingmen needed than everybody is responsible for his own computer-equipment. This is better in case of this subproject.
