I am running on i7-8650U CPU @ 1.90GHz. Why are my estimated times for the Genfer19 Tasks at 50 days; Genfer 18 at 10 days, and Genfer 20 at 200 days? At those completion times, I will never get any credit for this challenge

I don't seem to be getting a new tasks. Any reason?

I will be out of tasks in the next 10 hours so would like to get more tasks at least till end of the challenge.

Do you have any PrimeGrid tasks suspended? If the answer is yes, BOINC won't request any more tasks from the server.

Otherwise, what does your BOINC log say when you hit Update?

None of the PrimeGrid tasks are suspended. I used to have about 20+ tasks in the queue and now I am down to 5 tasks pending and 1 task running (8 CPUs). Looking at the log is says "Not requesting Tasks -- Don't need" How does it arrive at that conclusion as at the rate at which it is crunching - 1.5hours a task -- I will be out of tasks in about 8hours.

I figure this out. Sorry it was my bad. When I was updating my preferences on the website, I changed my profile to Venus (God knows why) by mistake. and Its resource Share was blank BOINC set resource share to 0. So it stopped asking for tasks. Fixed it.

Thanks Gary & Michael.

That worked. I dropped the blocks to 512 and the screen lag has become very manageable and hardly noticeable.

The speed decreased from 1.3M p/s to about 1.15M p/s -- which is not too bad.

I was wondering if it is possible to reduce the priority of the program on a GPU.

I am running one GPU (NVIDIA) and using wwwwl64.exe with

wallsunsun_threads=7
wallsunsun_blocks=2048

While it is running well, it really slows my PC down and I am unable to do useful work so I have to shutdown the client and run in during the night. I have 8 cores CPU, and running only one instance, so CPU utilization is not an issue. The GPU is dragging when I try to even open a web browser.

I was hoping it will run with low priority so that my PC is still responsive and it can use the spare cycle and when I am not using the PC (which is quite a lot), it t can take over

Thanks
