Looks great! Have fun with it! I hope you use the RTX for Wieferich/WallSunSun ;)

Do you plan to use it for primegrid exclusively? I recently got into manual work such as factorzation which also got me back into Linux. So far I'm really enjoying it.

Yes, I plan on keeping it busy with PG. I want to try many things with it. WWS and GFN-22 are ones to try out.
They say my shipping date for the RTX is early May.

... I am getting more than twice as many proof tasks as main tasks (111 main to 237 proof at last check).

Besides what Ravi mentioned, proof tasks also take a lot shorter time to run. If you have your system set to grab more than "Maintain enough work for an additional" of 0, the system knows they are smaller and will grab a bunch of those over your main task, especially if there are quite a few in the pipeline.

Looks awesome. Good luck finding that GPU, though.

Already acquired, was one of the first items to grab on my list. The GPU is back ordered a bit. Probably early May.

After the past few years of life kicking me in the butt, I have finally emerged to a point where I am going to build a new system. It will probably take me a couple of months, but I am starting to buy several of the components.
i9-10980XE processor
NVidea RTX-3090 Video card
Gigapyte GA-X299 MB
DDR4-4000MHz memory
Will be nice to have a system that should be able to crunch some large numbers fairly fast.

Fun and games. In December the laptop quit. So I contacted HP and sent it in. Came back dead. Sent it again. (Stuff deleted) Any ideas short of saying to heck with it?

Ever think HP down clocked the unit? It seems like they should replace it with the Lemon laws in effect, but they can replace with a refurbished machine, which still could be under clocked. They are trying to keep your temperatures down, and down clocking would be a way. They probably would not tell you as most people would not notice.

BOINC is the message board, yes it can be changed somewhat on PG side but it has constraints. So the changes I believe you want would have to be moved outside the BOINC structure.

Is it not set by default to give permission, or asked during setup or something?

Some areas of the world have privacy laws that do not allow you automatic publishing of your information. Since it is not allowed in one place, it is not allowed due to the impossibility to program it differently.

OK, based off GPU. CPU is much slower than the AP CPU app.

I understand credit is a very wild thing to talk about, but it seems WW is awfully low in amount of credit to crunch hour. Since several times in this thread it was compared to how AP works, well AP crunches at a lot faster rate (my machine nearly double), but WW gets less than an AP. I also know this project is knew and subject to changes in several aspects as it rolls forward, and I suspect credit is always on the table of those discussions.
Just an observation and I am happy to be back after the long hiatus I did have. I just wish I would get into my permanent place so I can fire up the several (now older) machines sitting in storage.
