An animated exercise

Very nice.
Maybe it would be better with a static y-axis.

Hey, at least this year we can run tasks in the most efficient way, rather than throwing threads at each task trying to be first.
Not here...
Electricity cost roughly doubled. :(

Thirdly, I'd not feel comfortable putting my name on something I did not contribute to in any other way than providing the funding. This is probably because of my scientific background; I'm used to find the funding sources in the acknowledgements, not in the author list. Of course, there is a world beyond science where, e.g., football stadiums are named after sponsors, but this really isn't my cup of tea. I even declined an offer by a teammate to attach his computers to my account for the mountain stage, because having the primes found by his computers reported under my name would feel just like a honorary authorship in science.
Have you not put your real name to be credited for prime discoveries?
It looks more like to be an author (of a discovery) than to get anonymous acknowledgements such as BOINC credits.

Well as far as lending a friend a computer we do run Folding@Home under their user name for our friends and Team Mates that have passed way in their honor.
There is no cost involved in this other than what we now pay for what we do at home.
But I also world not lend or ask a Friend to lend me a computer to run BOINC or Folding@Home Computing Projects.
I do give away my older hardware to those that can use and appreciate them.
Sometime for only the Shipping Cost and other times at No Cost.
Economically.... has noting to do with Events like this.
Also I speak on my behalf and not on the behalf of my Team.
Well, a problem is the prohibitive cost for new hardware and now, here in Europe, electrical energy cost too.
I would have certainly bought new GPUs and maybe avoided to rent TSC instances if prices had been reasonable.
Then increasing chances of winning Mountain Stage is still a matter of money and smart instances management.

No, I only run Hosts that are in my Own Home and Pay the Electric Bill.
What if a friend of yours lends you their computer for 10$ for 1 month? Who owns? Who pays?
Think virtual. ;)
And with events as rare as finding a prime, luck doesn't average out in just 24 hours, so don't underestimate the role of luck in winning the mountain stage.
You are totally right.
On Feb 19 I had run ~20k GFN-16 and ~16k PPSE tests.
Found 3 GFN-16.

That's an interesting way to look at it. I'm at CRUS Gold.
Yeah. Go for it! ;)
Cullen/Woodall (CUL|WOO|GCW) is another interesting group: the CW group.
Then I consider SV badges as another group again.
