Don't bother; the 6.4.5 BOINC Manager has been designed mainly for use with CUDA apps. i.e. Nvidia GPU projects, namely SETI & GPUGRID. With GPUs in mind, the devs didn't really take CPUs into consideration. The main problem ATM is that the ETAs for WUs for CPU-only projects are completely nonsensical until a couple of WUs have actually been crunched - the BM then "learns" how long they take and it all works itself out.
Plays havoc with scheduling and stuff until it figures out the correct times. Banal example, I installed 6.4.5 on my WinDoze box, got it up and running and it D/Led 2 ABC WUs with ETAs of 50+ hrs. They only took 3 and 5 hours respectively, but the darn BM wouldn't D/L anything else until they were finished, because the scheduler thought that my box would be busy for a couple of days.
Theoretically, this should be resolved when they release ver.6.5.x......

Ooops sorry Seejay I confused this project with one where the owners pay for the work done and where the project scientists work 24/7 rather than a volunteer project where users and project scientists give up their time freely for non commercial but interesting ends.

Is there a project where you get payed for the work you do?

I don't think so, you'd have to ask Tim. BTW, without looking at any of your accounts Tim, I'd bet at least 50 Euro that you're a fellow Brit. ! Location, no bets here, but I'd put you somewhere in the northern Home Counties - Hertfordshire, maybe? Your English is too good for you to be from up North, and your level of sarcasm can only be British!!

Hi Seejay---

I have seen your posts (bump) in Meebo etc-- I watch the forum posts closely and it seems your original issue Message 12646 and 12680 landed at the same time in the Forum-- Credit claimed on WU's suggest these are PSP Sieve-- What are they exactly???

Yep, they're PSP Sieve.....it just seems strange that these 50 or so Work units, uploaded on Jan. 6th, are still awaiting validation, seeing that all subsequent work has been processed normally. It's not a question of a few hundred creds, it's just the fact that they're sitting there waiting when they should have been validated, and I'm sitting here waiting for an answer from the project scientists........ ;^).

A QUICK UPDATE

Join Team 'Allprojectstats.com'. I formed the team back in December of 2007, expecting it stay a one man show. After a few days I was joined by a couple of others. [Edit 03 Jan.2009: we've now got more than 60 members]. I'm hoping we will continue to grow, as we're all very Team orientated and we'd all like to see some new crunchers share the Team Allprojectstats.com experience with us. BUT quite a few of those WUs are ours!! I see they've taken the Transitioner down, and the backlog has gone to 0 hours. I guess that when they bring it back up, the validation queue will go back to normal, and we will see the final scores.
