Hello everyone,
I just asked myself if it would be possible to run AP27 on an ASIC or at least on some cheaper FPGA. I don't think about make this happen, it's just a thought.

It more or less just have to do effective sieving and look if there are some APs (lookup and counting in an array where it's saved if a number is prime).

What are your thoughts?
(And again, this is not meant to be a real project. If somebody want's to do, of course...)

Have a nice day,
MiauiKatze

anything is possible, I made it work on a PS3 years ago. I think the primality test would be difficult to implement on ASIC. a significant portion of the program is testing primality of candidate sequences.
