I have whined about some tasks taking longer on my AVX512 computers - but this one!
65,489 sec FFT 3200K using 16 threads on a 10980XE

It's not just you. I'm experiencing the same issue where one task with slightly different FFT is taking double or more of the time for only a smidgen more credit, also on a 10980XE. I can also confirm that my CPU's cooling is well up to snuff and it is locked in at 3.6GHz all core AVX-512 with very reasonable temps.

And it isn't just a 10980XE, also 9980XE, 9960X
I keep my PCs cool - they all have the same case (well not the exact same one - they have their own)
When it is challenge time, I think I have been able to curse these tasks away by running them for about 2 minutes. Could it be the 2 cores running faster? It may not be a GPU interaction because this happens on my 9960X which has no GPU activity. Is there another parameter in addition to FFT? Just curiosity. I only select tasks when it is a challenge.
