I've started receiving MULTIPLE error messages on some of my 27 Prime Search runs:

Iter: 2951050/8927468, ERROR: ROUND OFF (0.40625) > 0.4
Continuing from last save file.
Resuming Proth prime test of 27*2^8927464+1 at bit 2949505 [33.03%]
Using all-complex AVX FFT length 512K, Pass1=128, Pass2=4K, a = 5
Disregard last error. Result is reproducible and thus not a hardware problem.
For added safety, redoing iteration using a slower, more reliable method.
Continuing from last save file.

The tasks are running, but using alot of extra time to complete.

This is unavoidable. FFT size going to change soon, and some tasks may generate this warning.

If you're using a batch file wrapper (for example, to run mutilthreaded LLR), you can add an option to command line

-oDiskWriteTime=1

to force LLR to save checkpoint every minute. This will reduce time lost after such restart.

Since this is happening more and more frequently with tasks on multiple PCs, another option may be to increase the roundoff error criteria from 0.4.

FYI --- Round off errors are occurring on a majority of my Proth Prime (xxxxxxx+1) tasks, but NEVER on a Lucas Lehmer Riesel (xxxxxxx-1) task

I don't remember exact details now, but there was a topic "how to use multithreaded LLR in PrpNet" or similar. The idea is that you should edit your prpclient.ini file and change something like "llrexe=llr.exe" line to "llrexe=my_llr_wrapper.cmd" and create this "my_llr_wrapper.cmd" batch file which should call LLR with any extra options you want to use, like multithreading.

Since this is happening more and more frequently with tasks on multiple PCs, another option may be to increase the roundoff error criteria from 0.4.

Or just be patient for few days. It happens more and more frequently because we are getting closer and closer to the edge. Soon LLR will finally decide to increase FFT size and this problem will go away for many months (until next boundary is reached).
