From recent testing and running of Universe@home tasks it would appear that running them on same class processors under Linux instead of Windows cuts run times almost in half.
I was seeing run times on 3000 series Ryzens of about 2.5hrs under Windows for the bhspin app. And while running them on the same processors under Linux those times were just over 1hr.
Lesson to be learned here is to run Universe on your Linux Machines and double your throughput over Windows Hosts. Save the Windows machine's CPU cores for something where you won't be running it at half speed compared to under Linux.
