I found Steven Harvey's website on GCW, is it still up-to-date? At the least the n-boundaries are outdated.
Also he just keeps b > 100 for GC, why is that? And is there a list for b <= 100 anywhere? It would be sad if this data is lost.
And in the Welcome-post in this forum it says b = 149 is the next base missing a prime in both Cullen and Woodall. However, it doesn't seem to be searched on PG. What is the limit for base b on PG?
____________
1281979 * 2^485014 + 1 is prime ... no further hits up to: n = 5,700,000

See this old post of mine. /JeppeSN

The question in my mind is whether or not either of these sites is being actively maintained. The last update on both is from 2019. Someone will have to reach out to them to determine that.

Even if they are still maintained, it's just a personal homepage on tripod, to me that seems like a project that could vanish any time and the data would be lost.
And is there any organized search? I only found a thread at mersenneforum.org, but it's not for reservations. At least it offered e-mail addresses for both guys (see page 3 of the thread).
Any ideas about this?

If you are referring to a BOINC or PRPNet project, the only project I am aware of is the GCW search on PrimeGrid, but that is limited to bases without a known prime.
I cannot answer your question on b=149, but if PrimeGrid isn't working on it, then you can take it. The problem is that we don't know if anyone is working with Steven to find a prime for that base. Interestingly there is neither a Cullen nor a Woodall for that base.
I agree that there is risk that those pages will "go away" if nobody is paying the bills. That can happen with any search. It would be a matter of someone willing to take the time to take ownership if either Gunter or Steven are no longer interested or unable to manage.
I could certainly host them over at mersenneforum, but I am hesitant to "poach" someone else's work. As for Steven's website, I am not interested in all of the prime forms that he has searched.

It is also possible that the so-called Prime-Wiki could be extended in the future with more bases:
https://www.rieselprime.de/ziki/Category:Gen_Cullen_prime
https://www.rieselprime.de/ziki/Category:Gen_Woodall_prime
Wikipedia lists some small bases:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cullen_number#Generalizations
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodall_number#Generalization
Wikipedia also has links to the other sites. That increases the probability these sites will be automatically archived. So when at one point the "private" pages disappear, it may be possible to restore the information (the Wayback Machine, etc.).

Good idea, rieselprime.de would be a good place for archieving the current results. Sounds like something for the christmas holidays...
rogue, by organized search I meant anything where bases can be reserved and results are reported. Maybe simply a thread on mersenneforum, maybe a website. I don't want to reserve a base and start a manual search (especially since for some reason my main cruncher doesn't seem to like GCW and throws errors), I'm just wondering what happens when PG wants to extend its current search limit - and what that limit is currently.

For Steven Harvey's project, he was tracking reservations and completed ranges for Woodalls, but might not have the detail you are looking for. His site has details for Cullens up to b=10000, but is not coordinating work for it. Günter Löh's site doesn't have much detail at all and is only for b <= 100.
Of course if neither of them is active, then those projects are defunct. Maybe PrimeGrid would like to host a new project for all GCW bases up to b = 1000 (or higher). It would require a huge amount of sieving.
If you are referring to this project, https://www.primegrid.com/stats_gcw_llr.php, the sieve limit might be stated in another thread. I doubt that they have all remaining candidates loaded into the server.
Hopefully someone reading this thread can tell you if other bases are going to be loaded in the future.
