i just finished a work unit but then noticed it went further down the list of other work units 6 1/2 days into this and now remaining 5500 days earlier in the day seemed to be stuck at 99.941% and nothing remaining, should i just quit this work unit? or leave it running and see what happens?

Let it keep running. It seems to me that if you find a prime, the test may start over from zero and run much more slowly the second time, like SR5 does. At the moment there are no GCW LLR primes showing up anywhere.

Occasionally I have found that the next task downloads and then runs before the other task has finished. If I prevent any more tasks being downloaded and then suspend the newer task it will finish the previous task. This may not be your issue but I wouldn’t abort anything until I have tried that. Also you could increase the % of cpu in use, that might fix it.

When I mention it taking longer, I'm talking about twice the normal length, not weeks and months. What's the URL or workunit id of this job? I want to see if the other host has reported yet and/or I'll run it here myself if necessary. Don't worry, if it's prime I don't get any credit for it. Click the link on the left of this and PM me the information if you want to.

OK, it seems like you're talking about http://www.primegrid.com/workunit.php?wuid=599762024. There's one result returned already and it's showing as composite. That other computer has no inconclusives or invalids so I tend to believe it. Your progress on that job looks like:

Your ETA is inaccurate since your computer thinks it's been running that job since March 3rd. It won't really take 40 days, more like 10 days. Your final deadline is 2019-04-02 at 00:51. I'm running that candidate here now and it does not look like the FFT size was insufficient (which could have triggered a restart). I don't think it's prime so it's up to you whether or not to let it continue. All my faster computers are running SOB, it'll take 22.5 hours total to run that candidate here on four threads.
