The problem with being short, or sometimes with a computer
I 2xe5-2683v3 and count only on cpu
HT is disabled in bios
I had to stop half of the samples, the computer would not have given their counsel to complete the allotted time.

Comparing with other CPU something blocking the conversion |

Are you aware of variable deadlines with which I believe your allotted time will be extended as long as you keep providing some progress on each work unit? /JeppeSN |

Problem is:
Cullen Prime Search
2x e5-2670 - 70 godzin and finish
2x e5-2683 passed 119 hours, and is only 42%
computer work Win10 Pro
This problem does not occur when converting samples Sophie Germain Prime Search, or Proth Prime Search Extended
Even 2xe5-2683 counts faster |

Memory bandwith is insufficient. |
|
|
|
How to fix it
More RAM
Turn off swap hard disk
or ?
|
|

14 Wu's at once it's too many even for quad channel, fast speed memory. The bigger work unit or/and more off them the more bandwith we need. |

To czemu problem nie występuje przy liczeniu 16 próbek naraz przy konfiguracji 2x e5-2670 ?
This is why the problem does not occur when counting 16 samples at a time when setting up 2x e5-2670? |

Hello all. I´ve completed 4 tasks for the Woodall LLR.
Two of them have been pending for a long time and will run pass the deadline if no one picks them up for a second pass.
Does this mean my credit goes to waste ?
Thanks,
Thor |

No, you've completed it inside the deadline (which automatically extends based on work being done.) It's not a short task I have one running also, you can expect long pending times on tasks that take long times to complete. Months for some tasks like SOB or GFN-22. You will get credit once it's complete without error, and double checked however some "wingman" aka double checkers will abort or take longer to finish or have an unexpected error or just plain not finish. If that happens it will be sent out to a third computer to verify. Some tasks https://www.primegrid.com/workunit.php?wuid=513701266 will end up going to many users. |

To quote Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" (or "Westworld"), "These violent delights have violent ends". Who knew the Bard knew so much about prime numbers and computers? Replace "violent" with "long" and it accurately describes how this works. :)
Everything we do must be done TWICE to make sure the calculations were correct. Your part is done. As long as your computer didn't malfunction, you'll eventually get credit. "Pending" means we're waiting for the second computer to finish the same task for verification. With long tasks come long waits.
At least there's no poison involved. :)
