Any chance PRPclient could be made UPS-aware, similar to the way that BOINC can stop crunching when on battery?
Full-bore crunching drains a battery really, really quickly.
I realize the complexity of what I'm asking. (Recognizing a power event isn't such a big deal, but making it possible to stop and start all the different programs might be tricky. I imagine you would want to suspend/resume the process rather than stop and restart it.)
With the fun weather we've had lately, combined with overhead wires and the forest that is the U.S. northeast, power outages have been uncomfortably frequent here. Having crunching suspended while on battery could mean the difference between an automatic resumption when utility power is returned vs. the computer going into hybernation or full shutdown, both of which require human intervention to restart.
