Since PPSE operates within k<1200 n>1m won't it become obsolete with new WUs released by PPS(boinc)?
k=5,7,9 has already been pushed to n=3m.
And 10<k<100 are being pushed towards n=2m now.
For the higher k's (100<k<1200) there are plans (according to John) to push them also further than the current n's in PPSE.
Wouldn't it be more wise to abort the current n's in PPSE and release new WUs that are beyond the scope of the Boinc-PPS-WU(and those being released in the near future) to avoid unnecessary double-testing?

Related question:
It's been over a month since a prime has been found in PPSE project...
Are the PPSE candidates ran through a sieve (like PPS on boinc) or can somebody explain to me why it's taking (this time) so long to discover a new prime?

well...
First of all, PPSElow tests take much less time than PPSE WUs
and more people participate in PPSElow because the chances of finding a prime are much higher (since the tested numbers are smaller)...
