Remove all workfile and rename logfiles start over to see if it happends again.

I let em run out with maxworkunits=0; then no workfile remains; I ve moved and compressed the former logfile (for further diagnostic ...). Then I set maxmorkunits=10 and start again the client.

I will watch the running task ...

The PRPNet client presumes that the lresults.txt file has a static format. It must be writing some of this information to the lresults.txt file, thus the client is unable to find the residue. I've never seen this error with LLR before. Is your PC over-clocked?
Anybody knows ???

Clean the dust of the fans, reduce the overclocking, that should be fine.

Edit: Are you playing games on that machine while you run PRPNet? If so stop gaming, one friend of mine had that issue.

I believe the LLR error is called a convolution error. Please see the Mersenne Mathematics and Research Strategy page for more info...it's in the "Lucas-Lehmer Primality Testing" section.

It's the first time we've seen this error as well.

As for the PRPNet Client message, "Could not find RES64 residue [lresults.txt]. Is llr broken?" see rogue's post.

Had several occurencies of that king on two boxes, both pretty new and really stable quads (HP server with ECC memory etc.)

Runing 3 or 4 instances, all of them eventually crashed.
