Hello!
I propose a new subproject: Symmetric Prime Tuples.
This project has a long history.
In 2017, the first BOINC project Stop@home was launched.
The project was launched on a private server and stopped after 8 months.
In 2019, the BOINC project T. Brada Experimental Grid was launched.
Look
https://boinc.tbrada.eu/forum_thread.php?id=3055
In this project, all calculations were done from scratch.
The results of this project are available
https://boinc.tbrada.eu/spt/explore.php
The BOINC project T.Brada Experimental Grid also worked on a private server.
The project was stopped in December 2022
https://boinc.tbrada.eu/forum_thread.php?id=3156#4772
At the moment I'm trying to revive my project on the BOINC platform.
The BOINC test project is running SPT test project
https://boinc.termit.me/adsl/
Again, this is a private server belonging to my colleague.
The project is being launched by another colleague; he has no experience working with the BOINC project.
Therefore, the project is still in testing and debugging mode.
We are not yet sure that the project is working correctly and stably.
The client program code is published here
https://github.com/DemIS-1/spt
The program running in the project provides search in the range up to 2^64.
For further search, I developed a new algorithm.
So far this algorithm is working on my PC.
The launch of Application 2 in the BOINC SPT project is planned, but it is unknown when this will be implemented.
The project is large and is of constant interest to crunchers.
I ask the Prime Grid administration to consider launching this project.
I really hope for a positive resolution to the issue. |

Natalia, this is the main problem - constantly starting then stopping projects.
I have been running BOINC for many years and jump on new projects.
However, yours appear to die too soon. I could understand if the project ran to completion but it doesn't seem to be the case. Instead they just stop (good name of the project was "stop at home" because that is what it did.). Next your colleagues ran Thomas Brada Experiment project but that withered to a halt too. It is now followed by the ADSL project which metamorphosed into the SPT project. It ran for a while with some weird occurrences which dissuaded users. eg the situation, now resolved, where pairs of results were required but only the first computer scored any points for completing the tasks. This left a bad feeling for me and I stopped running SPT for a while.
We need an assurance that SPT won't just vanish into cyberspace.

My problem is that I don’t know how to launch a BOINC project myself.
I'm a mathematician.
The mathematics of the project is impeccable!
The program works stably.
No one has any complaints about the mathematics of the project or the work program.
Yes, BOINC projects are stopping.
But the reason is not the mathematics of the project.
As already said, the current SPT project is being launched by an inexperienced person.
He is launching a BOINC project for the first time!
It is clear that he is wrong.
But the mistakes are being corrected.
I want this project to run on the BOINC platform.
But I cannot implement this on my own; I have neither a server nor knowledge of working with the BOINC platform.
PS. My BOINC projects ODLK and ODLK1 have been working for 6 years.
The administrators of these projects are responsible people.
These projects also run on private servers owned by my colleagues.
One of the servers is located at a colleague in Italy. |

It is a puzzle. PrimeGrid projects are related to mathematical problems for which a bibliography of several references exists. |

It is a puzzle. PrimeGrid projects are related to mathematical problems for which a bibliography of several references exists.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_k-tuple
A puzzle cannot be an endless task.
The problem of symmetric tuples of consecutive primes is a very complex and voluminous mathematical problem.
For this task, I developed several different algorithms depending on the subtasks.
Over the 8 years of the project, have not yet found a symmetrical 19-tuple of consecutive prime numbers.
No one has yet proven whether such a 19-tuple exists or not.
The theory of the problem is not sufficiently developed.
We need to work on this.
Research requires empirical data.
Yes, I haven't written an articles yet.
But my colleagues and I wrote a lot about the problem on various forums.
I can provide all the links.
We live in the age of the Internet.
Bibliography can now be in the form of links to websites. |

Look for the User Richard Haselgrove and reach out to him, he's very good with helping Boinc Projects getting off the ground and then staying going. |

He is on all or at least most Boinc Projects so he could already be on the ones you are running. I will look for his email address for you though. |

Hello!
I propose a new subproject: Symmetric Prime Tuples.
Hi Natalia,
Unfortunately PrimeGrid's position is unchanged since the last time you asked us about running SPT. This is not something we'd be interested in doing.
We do wish you luck, wherever you end up running SPT.
Regards,
Michael

Hello Michael!
I remember our negotiations.
I don't quite understand PrimeGrid's position.
The theme of the project is related to prime numbers.
At the start of the BOINC project SPT we found a world record
5179852391836338871: 0 12 18 28 46 76 78 120 186 210 226 232 238 300 306 312 328 352 418 460 462 492 510 520 526 538
https://boinc.termit.me/adsl/forum_thread.php?id=29&postid=270
This is something that is still unknown to anyone in the world.
Among tuples of odd length, 19-tuple is still unknown in the world community of mathematicians.
In my opinion, this cannot but be interesting.
Unfortunately, I am not able to influence PrimeGrid's position.
I am making every effort to ensure that the project works on the BOINC platform.
In addition, the project runs on my personal PC, as well as on two PCs that a colleague gave me for remote control.
I organized distributed computing several times in the project.
Unfortunately, these experiments did not have many participants and ended quickly.
Taking this opportunity, I ask everyone (who has such an opportunity) to help me with computers by providing them for remote control.
Anyone who wants to help me can write to e-mail natalimak1@yandex.ru
When the BOINC SPT project passes the testing and debugging stage, I invite everyone to join this project.

No I haven't yet but I am still looking for an email address BUT he IS here on PrimeGrid so you can send him a PM!! His user name is 'Richard Haselgrove' and here is his Account Page:

No, I am not allowed to send private messages.
When I try I get this information
"Users with no BOINC credit may only send messages to project administrators."

One other option is Gerasim, they now have several different kinds of sub-projects they are running and seem to have lots of storage space but I have no idea how much or how little tech support they provide, it may simply be the space to run the project with you doing everything needed beyond that. gerasim.boinc.ru/ |

Yes, I know about Gerasim@Home.
I tested one of the branches of my project there. It was a different algorithm.

Everyone can help the BOINC SPT project.
If you have a server and experience with a BOINC project, try this.
You need to run an exact copy of a running SPT project on your server.
The SPT project administrator will provide all the necessary software modules.
Next, your new BOINC project will work in a different range.
The entire range of the running program is limited to 2^64.
The BOINC project SPT is currently processing the interval [6416928384525935453, 6666528384525935453].
The end of the range is still very far away.
You can also run a different search algorithm on your server.

Hello!
The BOINC project SPT is working stably.
Statistics began to be exported to Free-DC.
The request for help is still relevant.
We want to run Application 2.
If you can help us with this, please write to me
