I started with GIMPS in college around 1997 on a 66 Mhz 486 computer. At some point I moved to Distributed.Net and worked on their projects for awhile. Next was SeventeenorBust.com and in March of 2010 I decided to continue their project, but through PrimeGrid. I choose SOB because there is a defined end point to the project, and when it's reached I'll look for another distributed computing project with a well defined finish.
If anyone is interested, the photo is an Elektronika MK 61 calculator. I'm a big fan of RPN and both the HP and Elektronika machines that incorporate it. |

| So far I like PrimeGrid, BOINC in general, and way everything is set up. I hope to see more CUDA options soon and I hope to see more attention for SOB. |
