Ages ago, I was a computer science major in college. Ever since, I'd been working in the aerospace industry in Los Angeles. In September 2015, I retired.
A major passion of mine is long-distance running. I run several marathons each year, and have run the last eleven (up to April 2014) consecutive Boston Marathons. Close to the 3-hour mark but age is catching up with me. I recently visited the North Pole (yes, *the* North Pole) and ran a marathon there. Also, ran a marathon at high altitude in Chile. I might try the "run a marathon on every continent" idea. I also like to hike and backpack.
Crunching PrimeGrid mainly for the science and to interact with some really bright people especially including members of team Aggie The Pew. "Credit" is fun but not a priority. Started with distributed computing with SETI in 2002; I still run it off and on, but my focus now is finding primes, not aliens :-) |
