Your opinions about PrimeGrid |
At first, I ran GPUGrid on my video card. Then GPUGrid had some sort of glitch, so i tried out DistrRTgen. When that project was retired, i ran Collatz (which i still run). But for six months or so, Collatz wasn't speaking to Linux machines. I ran PrimeGrid. Now, i'm running WUProp, which gives credit to hours on apps. And PrimeGrid has tons of apps. So, now some of my credit (not much) is on CPUs, though the bulk of it is crunched on video cards. I've never really had much issue with PrimeGrid. And, PrimeGrid does pretty good on GPUs.
I've got an AMD A8. I wish some project would support the CPU's APU (essentially a video card) under Linux. I've got the OpenCL driver installed. But i've tested it without either an NVidia driver or card installed, and haven't gotten anything to work. Ideally, i'd like to run both. After all, a GTX 650 ti kicks out a ton of credit compared to an A8 APU. |
