why: interest in primes, astronomy (einstein@home)
what: good idea; challenges are tricky motivations; it works even if you now the mechanism
suggestons: no, its more than that, its critic: One does not really now, what one is calculating. Why do You hide the exact test-parameters? Which prime is tested, which range of ap27 is tested, which range is sieved? This hiding takes place also in the other boinc-projects. Einstein@home - which point on the heaven, collatz - which range of numbers.
Another point is: when stopping a CPU-task, also GPU-tasks are no longer fetched; and vice versa. This is an unwanted feature.
