Thank you, glad to be here!

Question, is there any special spelling you require for the team name in the prpclient.ini?

Aggie_The_Pew or Aggie_the_Pew or AtP

I believe it's case sensitive.

Aggie_The_Pew

Glad to have you along for the ride. Don't take down the power grid. Are you running with HT?

HT is currently off. My first batch on Doominator ran in just under 3 1/2 hours.

Damn, that's fast. My first run was 5 hours, but that was due to the fact the server was down at the start of the challenge. But I still think I'm around 4 hours per wu.

...
Great to have another distinguished PG cruncher in the horde.

So we had a distinguished PG cruncher in the team before brinktastee signed up?

Ah, good point. I retract my previous statement. Revision: "Great to have a distinguished PG cruncher in the horde". :)

Tail-Wags-O-Welcome to brinktastee.
TheDawgz are happy to be the first to welcome you into the Horde!

EDIT: Turns out TheDawgz weren't the first ... but here's your "official" welcome thread anyway!!!

I'll do the FPS challenge on the 8th, hopefully a few other people are up for it?

I'll probably put in some time on this challenge. Lots of crunching, very few points however. But I want us to keep the top spot on this port. Our participation on the prpnet challenges has been marginal, but respectable. 5 days is a long time for this challenge.

Anyone else planning on crunching for this challenge? Even 1-2 cores would help.

Says the challenge starts 12:00 UTC on the 8th. Does that mean it starts in an hour?

Okay, Doominator is back online! All 6 cores @ 4.6 Ghz (w/o HT) are currently running on the FPS port.

Hope it helps make a dent in the challenge for ATP

EDIT: after reviewing the stats page it looks like we're extremely close to losing our #1 spot on the server. I got both of my 6 core AMDs up and running today and they are also on FPS. so 18 cores.

Tonight I'll see if i can get my Q9650 cpu up and running to get 4 more cores going at it.

Then put HT on, and enjoy :))

I'll do it now and I'll let you know the results tonight.

server down....

The downside is it looks like it is going to take us nearly 9.5 hrs to complete each work unit!
The upside is we can run 5 cores worth at a whack!
That's on our AMD so they are real cores.

I'm taking about 5 hours with hyperthreading off. I might switch of HT later tonight just to see.

I'll be along shortly.

Sweetness. Forgot my old benchmarking on this port. I'm running without hyperthreading now....I just assume on these long wu's it is best. Anyone remember benchmarking these w/ and w/o HT?
