Thank you SO MUCH both, that's excellent news on both counts.
I really had no idea that you could see deadline extensions - you learn something every day, even after 13 years of number crunching :-)
The Linux BOINC Manager ( I'm currently on v7.16.14 ) only shows the original deadline and not ( AFAIK ) any amended versions hence my original concern.

Hi everyone,
I've managed to complete 2 WUs so far, but my third WU has run for over 4 days and only reached 70%. Its deadline is tomorrow afternoon.
If the system recognises a WU in progress and allows extra time to complete, then all is well.
If not, then I won't be able to justify burning so much CPU only to have the eventual result disregarded and/or receiving no credit for the eventual result returned.
This would be a great shame as this is such an interesting search in which to participate.
Any thoughts ?
