the short genefers don't seem to take overclocking as hard as the long ones,
but you can't overclock too much.
I still prefer to run at stock speeds when I am crunching these.
As a team we don't seem to be doing too bad, considering we weren't
going to be doing this challenge, but at the end of the day when it comes to
crunching you are the team, and we just contribute our small part.
I hope you don't error too many WUs,but I think our small team is doing great.

Well done !!!!!!
You must be close to the top with 43 wingmen (although you haven't been there right from
the start)
Still, it is possible this WU will get past the 50 mark, unless one of your wingmen
actually read the advice given on these message boards.

@Thrasher-X17.

The 1300 limit is for Primegrid credits.
You do get more challenge points for the big WUs ,as I have found out( and it has worked
out better,as I wouldn't have reached 221,000 points with the small WUs)

:)

They took me about 70 hrs each !!!

Apparently that is only the limit for primegrid.

For the challenge it is different and longer WUs get bigger points . :)

EDIT :- not much more though. !!! :/

My BOINC version is so old because that was the last good version.

When it improves to a point where I feel like changing, then I will.

The problem is BOINC thinks my computer can do the WUS in 5 hours, and gives me that amount.

The reality is it takes me about 20 hours to do a short one,and 70 hours to do a long one.

So it doesn't matter how many days I have set,as BOINC will give me 4 to 14 times the amount.

It will sort itself out in the end

Hello ThrasherX17.

The amount of WUs I got, meant most of them would have timed out before I even started them.
The same applies to the new batch I received. There is no way on earth I could complete them
before they timed out,so it is better to abort and let someone else crunch them, than just wait for
them to time out.
I P.M'd you saying I might be able to do 20 or 30 WUs in 5 days, but BOINC has given me about
250. I would need 10 computers to do that amount of crunching!!
Another problem is that every WU is running in high priority mode, and BOINC is switching between
WUs and not finishing a one. This meant I had to monitor my tasks all the time, but I have that sorted now ( by suspending the non running ones ,and I will look again as they are about to complete and
resume them)
I might have a stronger finish,as I didn't realise there were big WUs being issued, and have been running 6 of them unwittingly. :)

BOINC seems to think my computer can finish a riesel WU in 5 hours !!
It is of course a bit off, as it takes about 20 hrs for a 5M,and about 70 hrs
for a 10M.
That hasn't stopped BOINC from giving me too many WUs which had to
be finished by 18:00 tomorrow.
I have had to abort most of them as they would have just timed out anyway.
BOINC has replaced them with 125 WUs which have to be completed by the
12th.A bit of a struggle for 1 computer !! . I think I will have to abort more,
although it isn't something I like doing.

Don't worry about your WU getting validated ,it will eventually.
I have been waiting a little bit longer, and I am expecting a new wingman
tomorrow,or the day after.
If you look at my WU,there are more than 15 wingmen, but it is still
continuing to be resent to new ones, until it finally gets validated.

They wouldn't expect you to crunch for so long on one WU ,and get
no credits at the end of it.(people would stop doing them)
