Intels new cpu's with efficiency cores and performance cores.

I will be looking to get a new CPU (Primegrid mostly use) soon and I have been looking at the new intel 12th Gen CPU range. Does anyone know whether an efficiency core in terms of primegrid will work as well as a full performance core.
I might be jumping the gun a bit but looking at best bang for buck.

Are Work Units Run on Cores or Threads
(Message 131035)

To get the most out of one machine with 4 cores, 8 threads and 1 video card what would be the best setup. I have set video card to sieve which I believe needs 1 part of a core to feed it, how should I set my cores and thread to work for LLR work?
I have Xeon E3-1240 v3 4C/8T with Quadro K600 card

Does Primegrid have priorities on which project they would like pursued first?
If so is there a list?
I have done a search of forum but cant find anything.
I Prefer SOB myself but I am not fixed on anything really and just wondered what Primegrid wants to achieve first.

Thanks for that. I have a much clearer understanding of where we are at and why we can't do things. I am going to spend some time trying to help the sieving aspect of this project.

So what is the TPS current status?
Are we waiting for more sieving to be done before more LLR work units are released?
Could sieving work units be released under BOINC? (not sure of the technicalities of doing this). I dont mind seiving just not really interested in manually doing it!

Does anyone here know what is happening to the Riesel Sieve Project?
(Message 9853)
Posted 5428 days ago by Elftron
Hi I know this is Primegrid, but I am hoping someone from here may know what is happening with the Riesel Sieve (being in similar fields).
My team Boinc@Australia would like me to find out what has happened.
The upside of this problem is more of our cores are coming here!!
Thanks in Advance
