True, but even non top 5000 genefer 15s get you an email/PM. It's nice to be at work, or wake up and see an email from PG that you found something special, and aren't AP25+'s special?

I totally agree with you and that's why I'm banging my head in the wall with my ATI/AMDs even if their performance sucks badly in this one (they shouldn't, but I guess it's about how the apps are written), to find the first AP27 =)

Hot damn!

And I see it wasn't on a computer beset by the ratties.

On a related note, though, I didn't get an email or PM in notification. Are these not turned on for the significant finds? If not, can they be, please?

@Grebuloner: New AP finds are announced in this thread =)

(and they are also listed on your account page under AP26 tasks)

...I'm in no hurry with the stats as I run ATI/AMD GPUs ;)

Still no results back from one of my numbers from 3 days ago. Wonder why? All of my others were valid almost immediately.

Each WU is sent to 2 separate people. Even if you were to return your result immediately, it won't validate until the second person (which we call wingman) sends theirs. And often, your wingman is going to take longer than you.

Don't feel bad for waiting 3 days and not having your result. That's not really long at all: one of my Megas has been sitting for 10 days already. And that's because MEGA is relatively fast; some of the bigger projects take months to validate at times.

...and if you end up with an Inconclusive one, yours & your "wingmans" result is different, it will be sent out to the third person to check...and so on... , but in a challenge like this, all results returned (that are downloaded after the start & retuned before the end) will give you points, but they will be removed afterwards (called cleanup), if they are invalid. The final score will be announced when all work units are verified that affect the challenge... Sorry, English is not my strongest language, but tried to make it clear =)

That's why I always run the challenges with a 10 days work buffer and ncpus set to 64 to get the max of tasks.

(project_max_concurrent is set to the real number of cores, or lower, depending on the box (numbers of GPUs & ASICs),
so stuffed over here: State: All (5870) · In progress (3886) · Validation pending (0) · Validation inconclusive (0) · Valid (883) · Invalid (0) · Error (0).

Just to be sure to cover these kind of incidences...

Hi guys !

If you have been following the Enigma challenge closely, I guess you've noticed that SUSA has been ramping up HARD during the last 24 hrs.

We are kinda even with the output atm, but I think they'll push harder & still 3 days to go...

...so if ya have some spare cores ;)

(still 20 cores short & dunno when I'll get 'em fixed :( )

So, let's GO GUYS !!!

...sorry guys, but I have to run this one 2 boxes (6 GPUs) short till the end, out of $ to fix 'em :(

The mobo on one fried a bit more than just the 24 pin power connector... so if anybody has a spare one with a LGA1366 Socket (early i7) & 3-4 nicely spaced PCI-E's just let me know ;)

The other one waits for a new HD & PSU...

Very nice work guys !!! Keep it up !!!

(I'll try to keep up with you Denis* ,288larsson & Ben, but dunno if I can...)

P.S. @Uli2*: that's the reason why I'm dropping down in SRBase, 20 cores short atm...)

I'll run it, but as I was limping through the PG challenge just keepin' 2 boxes alive, they are now totalled :( (1 melted 24 pin mb connector and 1 blown hd) I'll try to get them up, but 6 GPU's short atm...
