This is the first occurrence since extending server's memory buffer in my case. So the frequency has been lowered, but problem still exists.

Yes, when I notice the problem and update manually - it downloads new WU without any problem.
Another fact is, this host has HT off, so it crunches 4 tasks at once. Additional work buffer is set to 0, so it repeats updates quite often...
I have observed this message only 3 or 4 times, so it is not a large scale but still...

I have a question regarding my hostid=274101.
It is i7-2600 host, running Linux Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.2.0-38-generic x86_64).
I am currently running LLR tasks, recently PPS LLR.
Only this subproject is marked at current preferences for this host.
Since LLR upgrade to 3.8.9, boinc manager ( version 7.0.28) sometimes stops getting new task with this error message:

PrimeGrid 2013-02-28 11:55:59 Wiadomośc z serwera: This project doesn't support computers of type x86_64-pc-linux-gnu

I observe it for last three days, once per day at various times.
Am I the only one that gets this message from server?

I saw "primegrid_sllr_3.8.9_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" send to one of my linux host today!

Hurray!

Don't forget the GPUGrid "cheats" by awarding a 50% bonus for returning tasks early. That's very important to their work, and I certainly don't mind that they do this, but if you're comparing apples to apples you need to remove that bonus. (Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of GPUGrid and did a fair amount of crunching for them in the past. It's just not fair to use them in a credit comparison because of the bonus they provide.)

They apply 50% bonus to every task returned within 24 hours, so with a little knowledge you get it every time. Just avoid long task if your GPU is not suitable for them, and you get the bonus. Hard to call it is a bonus then. I would rather say, there could be punishment for late delivery ;-)

this pays not littlle, here my Test:

My graphic card: Nvidia Geforce 660 GTX TI

You see 3 tasks

425797667 311755972 28 Dec 2012 | 3:01:04 UTC 29 Dec 2012 | 15:53:59 UTC 44,332.98 822.17 23,064.17 Genefer v1.07 (cuda32_13)
425789635 311097864 28 Dec 2012 | 3:01:04 UTC 29 Dec 2012 | 2:45:18 UTC 42,362.51 1,634.84 21,998.23 Genefer v1.07 (cuda32_13)
425767989 313037483 28 Dec 2012 | 3:01:04 UTC 30 Dec 2012 | 6:31:50 UTC 47,096.45 1,657.42 24,456.97 Genefer v1.07 (cuda32_13)

Depends what you are comparing it with. This is my GTX660Ti doing GPUGrid ~42k seconds long tasks:

6277458 4006000 30 Dec 2012 | 16:49:43 UTC 31 Dec 2012 | 6:49:38 UTC Completed and validated 41,298.22 41,269.73 135,150.00 Long runs (8-12 hours on fastest card) v6.16 (cuda42)
6275574 3976114 30 Dec 2012 | 5:08:44 UTC 30 Dec 2012 | 19:21:03 UTC Completed and validated 42,054.44 42,025.45 135,150.00 Long runs (8-12 hours on fastest card) v6.16 (cuda42)
6272189 3975286 29 Dec 2012 | 1:49:39 UTC 29 Dec 2012 | 20:01:43 UTC Completed and validated 41,964.47 41,934.09 135,150.00 Long runs (8-12 hours on fastest card) v6.16 (cuda42)

I know, it is a different project etc. , but all in all it is 24k vs. 135k.

I have i7-2600 (without K) @3.8GHz, Ubuntu x64, without HT, llr 3.8.9 avx, which also feeds GTX660Ti for manual tpsieve task (about 0,15 CPU load).
It has finished 8 tasks before the challenge and another 8 after, no change in task duration.
It completes 4 tasks simultaneously in about 73.000 sec, so to me your 130.000 sec does not look bad at all.

P.S. I also have C2Q Q8200 doing TRP sieving, so you are not alone ;-)

Less than two weeks to next CPU challenge. Any progress on this issue?
9) Message boards : Number crunching : "no shared memory segment" message (Message 30152)
Posted 3211 days ago by Profile AleksanderProject donor
Recently I have noticed following messages at one of my PC crunching PPS LLR and GCW sieve:

gcwsieve_7421527_99936580e6_99936640e6_0: no shared memory segment
gcwsieve_7421527_99936580e6_99936640e6_0 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file

There is next message right after: "If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project."

I had some issues with memory at this PC lately, but I have replaced all RAM with new ones. Now I wonder if there is still some problem with motherboard, which is causing this info? After memory replacement all WU validate successfully, but those messages keep bothering me.
