Nothing to worry about. Probably you have lost a few minutes for the restart from the last checkpoint.
Reason could be several:
Resetting your PC-clock by an outside time-server.
Indexing files.
Defragmenting disks.

Is there a problem with checkpointing on these PSP LLR tasks? After two days and about 35% progress, my laptop rebooted itself and when it restarted, BOINC restarted the two workunits that had been in progress from 0%, losing two days of work on each.

I tried again this morning and was able to download PPS and SGS LLR work. It looks like Mcafee has finally analyzed the submitted files and updated their DB to mark it as not a virus.

It's happening to me now, too, with McAfee from Comcast. It looks like it started happening with the new signature file that came out at around 1 AM EDT today. I'll switch to AP26 until it gets cleared up.

Over the last few days, I've started seeing problems like this once or twice per day on more than one machine:

4/1/2009 7:33:27 AM|PrimeGrid|Computation for task pps_llr_30459160_0 finished
4/1/2009 7:33:27 AM|PrimeGrid|Starting pps_llr_30459417_0
4/1/2009 7:33:27 AM|PrimeGrid|Starting task pps_llr_30459417_0 using llrPPS version 510
4/1/2009 7:33:27 AM|PrimeGrid|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 9 seconds of work, reporting 2 completed tasks
4/1/2009 7:33:29 AM|PrimeGrid|Started upload of pps_llr_30459160_0_0
4/1/2009 7:33:31 AM|PrimeGrid|[error] Error on file upload: can't open file
4/1/2009 7:33:31 AM|PrimeGrid|Temporarily failed upload of pps_llr_30459160_0_0: transient upload error
4/1/2009 7:33:31 AM|PrimeGrid|Backing off 1 min 0 sec on upload of pps_llr_30459160_0_0

On every retry for that result after that, it gives the same error - that it can't open file - until I abort the transfer.

Any ideas what is happening?

I'm not sure from your response if you looked at the right priority. Scott was not talking about the BOINC high priority for work units that will miss their deadlines, but the Windows process priority.

You can check this by opening the task manager to the processes tab and then right clicking on the BOINC processes to bring up a menu with "Set Priority" in it. That menu shows you the current windows priority, which should be set to "low" to keep from interfering with other processes.

If that's what you checked and it's OK, then I don't have any better ideas.

Is it the report time or the upload time? If you have a large cache, there can be a big difference.

Is it just the server? It seems that I have the same problems getting to BoincStats when I can't get to PrimeGrid. Since they're in the same data center, is it a problem with the site?
