It seems we'll have an irregular finish of this tournament - my computers are no longer receiving work.

Could I just be awarded a consolation prize for not finding anything right away, so we are done with it and I can go on to crunch something, where my slow and obsolete hardware will not cause me so much stress and aggravation? :-) :-) Perhaps a grey, or invisible jersey could serve the purpose well... :-)

New badge proposal - discuss!

... ...
Is this supposed to be a hint that AP26 will be restarted?
Anyway...now to the proposal.
Whaterver the colors, I think that setting the bar for the LLRs at just half of the GPU-crunchable seives is, mildly put, imbalanced. GPUs don't crunch just twice as fast as CPUs. I'd prefer to see the limit for LLRs much lower.

Isn't it about time to update the Challenge Series page? With less than 2 hrs to go into the first 2011 challenge, the page still shows just the 2010 results...
It just might result in less crunchers knowing about the challenge..., unless that is of no concern, of course. :-)

Greetings to the competition committee :-)
Since the results of this challenge are final, why not to plug them into the overall chart?

GTX275 ~ 1150s (std clock, 877MB), Win 7 x64, Q9400 @ 2.66GHz
GT240 ~ 3140s (std clock, 474MB), Win 7 x64, Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
HD5850 ~ 1480s (std clock, 1024MB), Win 7 x64, Q9450 @ 3.04GHz
but the GT240 doesn't work well - after downloading a bunch of units, it only finishes correctly the first one and all the rest error-out... Probably a driver issue...

PPSieve-CUDA v0.2.1 is out.
it really would be helpful to post the link...
Go to the first post in the thread. It's there.
Yes and no... The first post clearly says the attached app is for linux only. People searching for Windows app will be looking elsewhere.
Please, let's change the first post then, so it is clear the zip file contains also the Win app.

I've built the new app, which should resolve much of these problems. Unfortunately we can't add it to PrimeGrid until Rytis is back, which I believe will be next week.
Cheers
- Iain
Any chance it's gonna be also for Windows?

Wonderful! Finally, a box for which I was trying to get some work since the morning (since 9am), got some work (it's 1:30pm my time now). Quite a challenging challenge, I'd say!
I am not sure that credit results of such a challenge should be considered fair and regular, comparable to those of previous challenges (I've never experienced this magnitude of not getting work, before).
Maybe the 6 minute work units are simply not suited for a challenge of this type. It must have been obvious that the servers will get completely overwhelmed.
