Good News Everyone! Leading edge is over 1M. But why 4000<k<10000 is also loaded over 1M? I thought we'll focus on 1200<k<4000 after we reach 1M.

where can we see doublecheck progress?

http://www.primegrid.com/stats_trp_llr.php

I don't understand. Does this mean the green ones are the ones completed?

Green are ones for which we've found a prime, so they no longer need to be searched. Blue means there's no prime, but the server is out of work for that K. White means there's no prime and there's still work available.

And if 'min (n) in progress' value will get back to ~5M it would mean that double check for that k is over.
'min (n) in progress' in that table means trailing edge and 'max (n) in progress' stands for leading edge. In conclusion, there's still plenty of work to do.

are you planning to add a section for the sub-project gfn under a users home screen.
e.g. where you see how many tasks you computed, how many credits for this subproject and where you can click on your prime-list etc?

The project's still in beta. Slowly, they've been adding in all the webserver parts:

  • The badges are in.
  • The stat export is in, so GFN shows up on the free-DC sub-project stats.
  • The application page lists the Genefer applications.
  • EVERYTHING necessary to make GFN actually work! :)

I think this is the only remaining part to go, and it will be done.

Rytis added GFN stats to account page. :)

I just realized I forgot one (make that two, um, three...) item(s) from my list:

The first two I forgot because those pages are currently disabled for the challenge. They may, in fact, already be done.

The third is something out of sight, and it may probably already done.

Also 'Pending credits' page doesn't support GFN.

Yes it does. Just the amount of credit that's pending is borked. But that's always the case with work units for which you always get the same amount of credits.

You're right, thanks for pointing out. Maybe claimed credit for GPU workunits isn't handled correctly by boinc.

5) Message boards : Generalized Fermat Prime Search : GCBL (GeneferCUDA-Boinc-Linux) ? (Message 48385)

I was curious why default GCBL app is not working on my system. CUDA toolkit 3.2 was installed but lld showed
libcudart.so.3 => not found libcufft.so.3 => not found

The problem is that default app is compiled against 32bit CUDA libs. I compiled GCBL against 64bit libs and now I can use genefer with CUDA libs provided by system. There is no significant difference in run times (as expected).
Sadly my setup doesn't allow to run genefer and default tpsieve/gwcsieve simultaneously, but I probably compile tpsieve/gwcsieve against CUDA 3.2 as a backup CUDA app.

WOW That's fantastic news. Finally after 7 months of crunching there is a PRIME.

I see that 500<k<1200 has been loaded with workunits over 1.3M. When can we expect goals for 2012?

It seems that this short candidates are giving the same score as usual candidates, so total score is scyrocketing.

Are there a lot of candidates like that? Or is this a one time occurrence?

4 or 5 short for 1 normal.

19*2^3350321+1 has a small factor : 3 !!

Does that mean, that workunits aren't sieved properly?
