Hello everyone,
Doing well, no covid-19 or any other illness since last June when I was laid off. That's due to isolating myself from people. I have pretty bad asthma so Ive been very careful.
I have not been crunching for primes some time now. My gear is just too old to justify that. I will be back crunching when paychecks are back. :)

After 20 years almost to the day....I got laid off. Covid has gutted the company's sales pretty bad.
At least I get 20 weeks severance pay. I'm 57 and I'm thinking about early retirement. I just need to hold out until I'm 59 1/2. <sigh>

I can see smoke north of me from a few different places already. The riots are supposed to move south to the suburbs where I live. It is going to be an interesting and worrisome weekend.
Be safe everyone.

I have been sounding like a combination of Mutley from Wacky Races and Darth Vader for the last couple of days. I think a combination of hay fever and dust from clearing out an old store-room; I feel somewhat sub-prime but not really ill. But yesterday my temperature was elevated and so we are now locked in for 2 weeks. Thank goodness we have a large house with a garden and no small children. I almost sure this is a false alarm.

Good gosh we hope it’s a false alarm. You can practice being a chef now. Open tin, put in pot and heat. Ha

Update LotR? How are you doing?

OUCH!!

Just found out work cut my pay 25%!

I will have to cut out those weekly pedicures.

Hoping you got to at least work less hours. Sorry to hear and hoping this all ends soon!

Nope. They want the same work output. I would have taken furlough and get unemployment but they got some stimulus money and they cant lay off people to qualify for that money.
This came to my mind as soon as I found out this was happening. it still applies...

I wonder if anyone took any good photos of it? Hint hint.

I took a picture yesterday for a friend to give his grandson. It is neither a good photo nor of the full moon. It is huge at more than 9000 x 6000 pixels. https://flic.kr/p/2iN2Qo6 is a smaller version. It was taken through a 685nm IR pass filter to try to get a sharp picture.

That is so cool.

Wasn't there a supermoon tonight?

Yup, the pink one.
