OK. Thanks. My event log said there were tasks available for ATI GPUs so that's why I asked.

Just set this up to run but getting no work. No tasks for Nvidia GPUs?

Please post the entire contents of stderr.txt.

Here is the original one that kept stopping:

Followed Rafael's advice and down clocked to 1000/1225 and started a new task. 10 minutes in and still running so hopefully we're good. Here's the stderr.txt. file from that task:

Have never run the 7970 at PG before. Learned something new. Thanks Rafael.

Now I have to come up with an app_info file to get my R9 285 to run here.

I'm trying to run the GFN19 tasks on my 7970. They run for 2-3 minutes and then just stop. There is no evidence of a driver crash and other ATI Opencl projects (POEM, Einstein) run fine. OS is Win7 Pro with XEON 2683 V3 and 32 GB DDR4 memory. Any suggestions?

Go into the Boinc directory. Find the slots where the GFN WUs are supposedly running and check the Stderr file. Is there a "Max Err" message in there?

Yes, several of them.
maxErr exceeded for 1044484^524288+1, 1.0000 > 0.4500
MaxErr exceeded may be caused by overclocking, overheated GPUs and other transient errors.

The card is not overclocked. (factory settings are 1050/1425) I watched the temps before it stopped running and they never exceeded 65c. Should I try down clocking?

EDIT: Down clocked to 1000/1400 and restarted a task. Didn't even run for 30 seconds before stopping again.
