1) Message boards : Number crunching : 321 Blast off Challenge (Message 58838)

For some reason, my Fedora17 x64 box won't get any work....tells me that there are no app builds for 64 bit linux.....any ideas for a workaround?

Install 32bit libs

Lennart

Should 'yum install glibc.i686' do it?

I saw a similar problem being reported in the cow forums and the solution suggested there was:
sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

Though that obviously is for debian (derivatives). Installing ia32-libs with anything of your choice should solve it.

Thanks.....will try at lunchtime.....

The Tour de Primes 2012 has ended!!!

As Sysadm@Nbg mentions in the previous post, the 2012 Tour de Primes has been finalized. It was another incredible month for the Tour de Primes. 638 "Top 5000" primes were discovered producing a prime score of 20616.041. While not as high as last year, it's still an impressive showing. This year, 3 Mega Primes were found, but it was not enough to push ahead of last year's 2M digit 321 Mega Prime found on the last day of the Tour. Nevertheless, great progress was made in the PPS (LLR) project and the 2012 goals are that much closer. :)

Congratulations to all who participated. It was truly an amazing month! Now on to the awards.

A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who participated. This concludes the Tour de Primes 2012. See you next year!!! :)

A recent check of the stats shows I had 11 primes....makes no difference in the stats, but it must have been that last one I squeezed in 21 minutes before the end...

I saw that entry... what number do I need to enter at 'gpuaffinity='?
Thanks

You need to run 2 instances of the PPRPnet client, with one set to gpuaffinity=0 and one set to gpuaffinity=1.

. Fortunately, credit was applied just before the crash, so less than 6 hours of work were lost.

I was wondering why my credit wasn't applied....is it due to the later DB problem on @ 11/12/10? I was at @2.5 mil before I restarted with PSA, and am at @5.6 mil right now, and was before the problem on 10/30/10, but haven't seen an uptick in my PSA credits. Thanks...

11/12/10 was not a PSA credit issue. Less than 6 hours on 10/30/10 only on port 10000 was. You haven't seen a PSA credit update because it's been temporarily put on hold. It should resume shortly.

Any updates as to when the PSA credit is going to be applied?
