Welcome to the Year of the Rabbit Challenge

Why is my BOINC notifying me now, almost a month after this that it is going to happen? And this is on my primary PC, not that I would have been a high productivity user.

I don't have a laptop on this right now, but I did notice that when the LLR went into 'Waiting" mode that it did not stop crunching. The CPU process continued, and the 2 other projects ( dual core PC ) got 25% each as the LLR was using its 50 % still.
Nothing crashed, and the WU finished for all the projects involved, but it is still not normal behavior.

OS, Vista SP1, BOINC 5.10.45
WU

321 LLR is still running an older version of wrapper which is prone to this issue (runaway processes).

Is this going to be fixed?

John,

I had communications problems on several of my hosts after the server came back up. The only way I could get uploads and downloads to function was to stop and restart BOINC. I run it as a service so had to kill it through the services tab. If you run BOINC as an application, you may be able to exit and restart but not sure. If all else fails, try the good old fashioned method of shutting down Windows (assumption on my part) and restarting.

This took care of the communications problems with me anyhow. Good luck.

Brian

This worked for me as well on 3 of the PC's I have at home. I will have to visit 3 different cities to see some of the other PC's I have running this project.
