The Android TRP-Sieve client can now be downloaded automatically from the PrimeGrid server. ...

Any idea how much RAM is required as a minimum for the application to run?

According to WUProp (http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/ram.py), it takes 18.5 MB.

WUProp, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is another BOINC project that gathers statistics about other BOINC projects by running Non-CPU-Intensive (NCI) tasks along side your other BOINC tasks. It's a great place for getting answers to questions like this.

I am not quite sure about this info. Actually, I notice jumps of RAM ussage from about 150MB to 260MB on this ARM device when I run the sieve application. I think it happens after the initialization period and seems to be the reason for the errors the device is producing (not enough memory).

When I try to run TRP sieve tasks on this host all I get is errors. Most of them almost immediately error, but one processed about 35% and then crashed. All tasks crash with the same error. Anyone have an idea what an app error: 9 is? How can I solve this?

Here is also some part of the log from the client,, if it could be helpful:

In my point of view, that was a very good challenge. I could only regret that it was kind of a short one. Maybe just ... 2 more days and I would have enjoyed it even more!

Fine job Czech National Team and congratulations for your first place! :)

Also special thanks to the organization team for their quick fix at the challenge formula to keep the challenge fair. :)

The overall statistics looks imressive - well done to all participants!

Absolutely, welcome to PG. There are a ton of smart helpful folks here and I hope you enjoy yourself and find some primes.

Cheers Rick

Thank you all for the kind words! :)

Looking forward to the next challenge, though team Bulgaria is currently at zero organization level concerning this matter. Nevertheless, I think I will enjoy myself around, as I like technology, science, math and competitions.

Regards, mexico

Hi guys! I just finished my single CPU task to GFN Short project and that would be my small, tending to zero, contribution to this year's Snake Challenge. :) Looks like I only made it to 'assist' with the cleanup process in the end.

Anyway, I am happy that the task ended without an error on my Mobile i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.1 GHz. As I didn't have any previous experience, during the challenge I decided to 'play' a little with the task and I proved to myself that it was possible to force it to finish before the deadline. Hyper-threading enabled, different CPU load and setting affinity to specific cores provided different estimated completion times within the range of 210~360 hrs.

I would like to thank to Michael Goetz for all the daily updates and also all the effort I see from the PrimeGrid crew around! Keep it up! ;)
