1) Message boards : General discussion : Cross projects link (Message 128319)
Posted 26 days ago by AT Hiker
Yes I did change my email address recently so that is probably the problem.

So I guess I need to change my email address on every project I have ever run. Now I need to figure out what projects I have run.

Thanks to all for replies.

I am uncertain what you mean by "no links". Are saying that on the other Projects you have run, the cross project links don't report all your Cobblestones of computation and number of floating-point operations but just the numbers for that project?

I know that in Amicable Numbers the cross project link never reported anything but Amicable Numbers work. I reported that in the discussion group but no one was interested in fixing that.

I just looked at the Amicable Numbers cross link for my account and everything is zeroed out.

But as I stated before PG always reported all of my Projects. I am certain because each day I entered the values in a spreadsheet.

Perhaps there is a BOINC problem.

Thanks for taking time to check and post.

Are all projects listed when you go to the link?

They have been in the past but not in the last few days.

Wasn't sure where to post this.

The cross projects stats link is not working.

6) Message boards : Problems and Help : how to get credit back on a reset project (Message 126741)

Does this

>Once you attach your computer to PrimeGrid again, it will show the correct credit. You do, however, need to use the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS as you used originally. Account identification is based on your email address.

mean you can't change your email address without a loss of credits?

7) Message boards : Number crunching : What's wrong with my temps? (Message 126574)

I see this discussion as a opportunity to learn as I know little about the subject except what I have experienced with my own efforts to keep things cooler.

So I want to ask a couple of dumb questions:

The blue arrows over the GPU cards indicate that air is moving out of the case if I am viewing it correctly. What exactly makes the air move in that direction?

What is the case size?

How many fans are involved?

Pardon my inexperience.
8) Message boards : Number crunching : PPS (Sieve) CPU run time vs GPU run time (Message 124992)

You are correct, I was wrong. Apparently I kept seeing GPU as CPU.

Must need to get my glasses changed.

Thanks for the reply.
9) Message boards : Number crunching : PPS (Sieve) CPU run time vs GPU run time (Message 124980)

On my computer, PPS (Sieve) wus are finished with a run time of about 700 sec. of CPU time and about 160 sec. of GPU time.

What accounts for the disparity?

Is it influenced because I have the CPU usage restricted to 30% of the CPUs and 50% of the time due to heat problems?
10) Message boards : General discussion : PrimeGrid forums take a bow (Message 122175)
Posted 165 days ago by AT Hiker
Been away from PrimeGrid for a few weeks checking out other projects and want to compliment all of the folks who offer help and advice on the PrimeGrid forums.
My experience with other project forums is they simply don't measure up to what participants on Primegrid offer.
So I salute everyone and say you should take a bow. Job well done.
