Yes and no.
With the message I can prove the application starts, so I like the message -)
2) Message boards : Proth Prime Search : PPS Sieve (Message 11610)

I just startet with this sieve, and found some problems:
Look at this WU.
I get a message telling me:
Factors file not found

But in the file sr2sieve.log I usually get:
Mon Nov 17 20:24:05 2008 WARNING: --pmin=190487000000000 from command line overrides pmin=1000000000 from `input.txt'

So it seems the input.txt is fine:
-rw-r--r-- 1 boinc boinc 394872512 2008-11-17 20:24 input.txt
head -3 input.txt ABCD 5*2^$a+1 [120049] // Sieved to 1000000000 with srsieve 24 122

tail -3 input.txt 10 48 84

So what is wrong?
BTW I run the psp sieve since some time without any problem...

Are there any motherboards that support dual AMD quadcore cpus?

There are some.
Asus and Tyan have them.
I have currenly only german links, but I'm sure there is something in english as well.
Here is one example for 2 CPU's:
Tyan Thunder n3600B (S2927A2NRF-E)

We all know Intelis much better in integer number crunching than AMD.
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't see a reason to use non integer math for prime calculations.
So this simply shows the know fact.

You got the point.

Solution (if any) is up to you.

Very strange.

How do you calc where (y-pos) the num, bers beginn to fall?
Maybe a random value from the middle of the y-axis?
If I wait long enough I get on the right side of my 1st screen sometimes number s (once in 5 min?)
So maybe it is the way you place them depending on the middle (y-axis) and due to the fact my screen is very wide, it is very unlikely I get something one my right (and left) screen)

The position of the progress bar seems to be strange as well.
I made the window very long (full hight, 1/3 width) and the bar is not at the bottom any more it is somewhere below the middle.

0.9.3 with PG colors, dark ones taken out.

Still only the middle one of my 3 screens is used.
Maximized one 1 screen everything is fine.
Is there somewhere the screen size hard coded?

I have 3 screens side by side, so effectivly a resoliution of (3*1280) x 1024.

In window mode (I don't have TPS running on that box) it only uses the 2nd screen.
1st and 3rd screens are blank,
I would have expected to see something as well on thse screens.

there is currently no leader board for Sieve factors, as far as I know.
Only for (TSP)primes there is one page

I've ssen you here.
But not in the list sorted by RAC.

I assume you downloaded the package manually from the boinc web pages.
Maybe it would be better if you use the package from your distro, if availible (what distro are you using?).

can you explain a little bit more what you mean by still using 100%?
Boinc run always with the lowest possible prio (except when running the becnhmarks).
But most of the time BOINC can you 100% of the CPU, because nothing else needs CPU.
Using a web browser e.g. does not really require the CPU, only in the case when a new page is loaded, but still only a little bit of the available CPU.
