As of this writing, 25.1% of my total credit is from PPS LLR :)

Why does the Primegrid preferences page say "Proth Prime Search (LLR) High priority!!!"? Is there a particularly high need for processing in this subproject?

We are attempting to keep the leading edge of this subproject ahead of the bottom of the Top 5000 list. Currently there's about a two week buffer and growing. :)

Is there up-to-date status information? Size of the "buffer" (work left to do), primes found, expected prime milestones, primes *I* found, etc. Progress bars and seeing queue sizes go down to zero is motivating :)

Either way, I'll switch on PPS LLR right now!

Should i delete the old file when i have copy the new file into Boinc?

No, leave the old file. Old WU's will use the old sieve file. We'll make another post when all old WU's have been completed. Afterwards, you can delete the old sieve file.

If you delete before then, BOINC will re-download the old file to crunch an old WU.

If you delete the file by hand at any time, no matter what WUs you have, BOINC will re-download it when you restart it. You'd have to edit client_state.xml to remove the relevant <file_info>, or reset the project!

PrimeGrid should be sending file delete requests from the server; users shouldn't need to cleanup old sticky files.

I don't think GPU hardware is at all usable for prime searching.

Works perfectly from there-- same if I hit the "show graphics" on the GUI--

Still goes mad if I enable the SS in Display and let the SS come on normally--

Maybe try running it manually with the --fullscreen switch:

Open a command prompt, cd to the projects\www.primegrid.com directory, and run primegrid_screensaver_0.9.3_windows_intelx86 --fullscreen.
Or, create a shortcut to the .exe and add --fullscreen to the command line (in shortcut properties), and run the shortcut.

Where can I get a re-install??

Detach Primegrid and attach again. All files will get deleted, and when you get work, they will be re-downloaded.

Nicolas-- See my post about 4 down-- I rather like the screen saver but it would be nice if I could get the damn thing to work on my main PC--

Can you start the graphics application directly? Should be in boinc/projects/www.primegrid.com/primegrid_screensaver_0.9.3_windows_intelx86.exe

If run manually without a workunit, it should show the progress bar moving for 5 minutes, then quit.
