The Problem seems to be remains of old wu in slots. which are errounously not deleted. The Problem was also observed for other Projects (CMS-dev, Einstein, MilkyWay, WCG)and is now also investigated by David Anderson.

Unfortunately, one of my boxes now got a similar Problem. My dik Limit is higher, but that might be project dependend. Astonishing, at least for me: I can't spot any line starting the Task.

Or have a look at some external stats site where badges are listed, like http://signature.statseb.fr/index.py?badge=32.
There you can also see other Projects which Support badges and their appropriate credit/time/whatsever Levels to reach them.

You should also consider the users expectation of badge Levels - what are thy used from other Projects like yoyo, Asteroids, NumberFields, NFS and so on.
I'm always a bit confused on as there it's not the common 10k, 100k, 500k, 1M steps - they have an additional 50k silve badge and the higher Levels are then also not the colour one is used to.
Thus my personal vote: stay with the current steps on LLR.
(Lowering sieve requirements would result in three higher Level bagdes for me, but why change the rules during the race? I don't see the huge benefit.)

Suggestion to PrimeGrid admins:
How about adding such a link to the user's account page at PrimeGrid? If you want to get fancy, PRPNet could create a custom page that does the math to display the equivalent BOINC credit.
I would like that too :) but already a table estimating the factor of PRPNet credit to Boinc credits would be nice. We could that know how many PSA credits will we get eg for our MEGA Challenge participation.

I knew that this thread is on cpu llr Problems. Only wanted to point out that the remark "new driver is messing up the BOINC projects" of my predecessor is not part of the llr problem solution. (Installation of Drivers could in theory modify some relevant parts in System directories.)

'3 second' errors on CPU LLR tasks

Unfortunately I now also got the 3sec Problem on my main Win8.0 workstation :( As it's still using old 331.65 Nvidia Drivers, I think I can exlude them as a reason.
What do I remember having changed regarding BOINC in the time Frame when the problem first occured? I used Collatz again after a Long pause and I upgraded to 7.2.39.
Neither upgrading tio 7.2.42 nor disabling and resetting Collatz solved the issue.
If I wait until all PrimeGrid task are finished and reset PrimeGrid, for a short period PG llr task get over the 3 seconds barrier and will then finish. But as soon as any llr task fails all following fail also.
Any working solution heaviliy wanted!
