3 million now! After half a year.

4 million! After a month.

5 million! After 11 days. And first time RAC above 100k!

6 million! After 16 days. Doing short tasks with no bonus.

7 million. After some 25 days.

8 million. 26 days, more badges.

9 million. 11 days. Almost broke record.

I have passed 10 million!!! 7 days since last update.

15 million. 76 days if my calculations aren't mistaken.
Last time was 85 days. I guess that's a record :)

20 million! 65 days.

25 million. Didn't notice when lol probably mid-February.

30 million-yesterday, 3.75 months

A special acknowledgement to Yves Gallot and the other team scientists for the recent enhancements introduced in genefer, although the official announcement will come after post-challenge feedback ?
Merci Yves!

Oui oui!

CPU MT GFN19 really helped me in the challenge-merci beaucoup!!

6) Message boards : Proth Prime Search : PPSE (Proth Prime Search Extended) too small for Top 5000 now (Message 155489)
Posted 43 days ago by Profile dannyridel
Assuming PPSE gains 188 digits per week on average on the trailing edge of T5k, it will catch up on August 4th.

Please note this is a very rough guesstimate.
I will include an adjusted ETA in the next update next saturday.

Don't forget there are 3 challenges between now and Sept. Each of those will likely reduce PPSE tasks, and find primes that will increase the T5K base.

The three challenges will also likely reduce the amount of computing power spent on projects that easily yield primes like GFN16, so that evens things out a bit (although the PPS challenge certainly won't help).

I think he might just have gotten tired of this or forgot-he was last online 10 days ago on mersenneforum.

long time no seen, pg :) crunching badges again now
9) Message boards : Sophie Germain Prime Search : Average workunits per prime (Message 154981)

Mmh, wafflingdwarf seems determined not to give up her/his #1 spot:

#2 ~ 56,022 tasks
#1 wafflingdwarf (57,198)

And the probabilities for wafflingdwarf (and me)

≥1 prime: 98.13% (97.97)
≥2 primes: 90.70% (90.07)
≥3 primes: 75.90% (74.66)
≥4 primes: 56.27% (54.65)

Or...they are determined to give you the first spot by getting a prime :D

I have done 515947 tasks with 35 primes (5 of those 2nds).
515947/30 = 17198

IMO, for the purpose of calculating (your) average tasks/prime you should treat initial prime finds and doublechecks equally.
So you're at 515947/35 ~ 14741 tasks/prime.
Which is pretty much where I'm estimating the overall average tasks/prime to be. I put it around 14370 (it ebbs and flows over time depending on how many primes have been discovered recently).
Of course average doesn't mean anything for the individual. I'm at ~ 3*average but alas ...

I wish you to find one soon!
It has to be soon!

Thank you. I've been telling myself the same for a while now and, as the saying goes, hope springs eternal. :)

I agree with Omega in terms of calculating the average tasks per prime. Good luck on prime-finding! It's always a wonderous moment to get your first...
The chances of you getting the PF vs a DC really depends on your computer, and in the case of roughly equivalent computing powers, the chances would be aruond 50%.
