Just tried : keep crashing in one second.

Yes indeed : GFN ;).

ia32-libs are impossible to install on my system due to some incompatibility with other packages I need to keep downgraded.

However, I manage to install 32 bits libs as described just on the post above : sudo apt-get install lib32z1 lib32ncurses5 lib32bz2-1.0

How can I test GFN without resulting with errors and crashed tasks on Boinc ?

P.S. : Thanks for details on GFN Cuda apps.

GNF is a 64bits application, isn't it ?

Do I really need to install the 32bits libs ?

OK, done. Here are the results after unpacking :

I have a pure 64 bits, as far as I know : I don't have the 32 bits libs ("dpkg -l | grep ia32-libs" returns nothing, but perhaps I have 32 bits libs somewhere...).

Let me know if you need more informations.

Thanks,.

For the first :
ldd primegrid_genefer_3_1_2_1_2.05_i686-pc-linux-gnu__cudaGFN
not a dynamic execution

For the second :
I've no "i686" file

For the third :

Hi all !
My GT 430 used to be compatible, but for some months, GNF will show errors each time I try to launch one.

Was there any update that makes my card not able to crunch gnf ?

I got no more work this night.
Now I turn ON my old Sierpinski task that were suspended and voila, WU for SGS is coming.
Less CPU used but at least, it's computing something from SGS !

12 hours lost for strange Boinc behavior, or something with PrimeGrid's SGS WU.

Suspending any task causes BOINC to not request any work for that project.

OK, I note that. Thanks.

OK I put the genefer_wr exception in case of I'll do such jobs (but very looong indeed).

I tried with the nvidia type, and it seems to allow computing on genefer, with exclufing gpu #0 and the gpu #1 with <exclude>. It shouldn't allow WU to come if the only capable gpu (#0) is ignored...

But I need to test more to see if the nvidia <type> changing something or not (maybe it's a coincidence).

What is not very cool, is crashing WU to test if the wrong gpu is excluded or not :-/

Thanks for answering so quickly.

I've done what you adviced, but the event log says :
sam. 12 janv. 2013 13:56:11 CET | PrimeGrid | A GPU exclusion in your cc_config.xml file specifies a non-existent application 'genefer_wr'. Existing applications: 'llrWOO', 'pps_sr2sieve', 'llrPPS', 'llr321', 'llrTPS', 'trp_sr2sieve', 'llrSOB', 'genefer'

I think the genefer include the WR part too ?
Well, I don't have set genefer_wr and no more error in event log.
But now (without type NVIDIA fields), it seems that no more Genefer WU is sent to GPUs (#0 or #1).

I leave as this, If one day, it'll work... It'll work on the good GPU.
