I just thought cool. I somehow didn't realize that you could easily set the number of threads for a WW CPU task.
I disabled the CPU for each computer so the 321 tasks could run out.
I also changed from 321 to WW and changed the number of threads.
I now have so many WW GPU tasks downloaded it is crazy.
Does this mean I have to use the 'only 2 tasks at once' setting?
Why would I get so many WW GPU tasks?

There could be one explanation, but it still doesn't make sense.
I have '2 days work' set.
But I have resource share zero (using Boinc 7.14.2)
Interesting.
I will change the setting to zero days and see if it still happens.

I shouldn't have gotten so excited.
I have about 80 'phantom' WW tasks.
I happened to notice just after I changed the CPU settings.

Someone could probably even delete this thread.
Unless it is useful to show that with the wrong timing, reality can go out the window.
