Every now and again, people - you and I - may find things too difficult.
It is really not fun to feel very alone in your thinking.
Your thinking may be anything - it usually feels like you should 'just get over it' and worse.
You, your mind, can work against you in frustrating ways.
It can be awful.
It can be very unfair that people suffer in their mind but there is help.
It may be help you will always need.
Please do not suffer by yourself.
Reach out and talk to your doctor.
If connection is difficult, see a psychiatrist.
It is a person to talk to.
It can be a long journey - in my experience I don't remember the really bad times - not in the way I experienced them.
"THE DARKNESS" went away with a little black bird. Hopping around the bench I was sitting on. I got right into what it was doing and it's absolute place in the universe. It was clear to me that it had a place shaped by it and with balance with all else. Darkness went away and has never come back.

There is a lot of stigma around taking medication to treat mental health issues. Let me assure everyone that there is no shame in taking medicine to help you feel more like you and less like your illness.
You are not your illness. You are you. Your illness is your illness. You are not your illness.
If the first medicine or the first psychologist/psychiatrist aren't working for you then move on to another medication and/or another psychologist/psychiatrist. There are lots of both out there to choose from.
Remote counselling is a thing now if you live too far from that kind of help. One such service is called Better Help. I haven't used them so I can't specifically recommend them. But that's one I am aware of and I'm certain there are others out there too. In my case I went with a local practice that was about 100km away and we did Zoom calls.
For medications, different ones can affect different people in different ways. So if you don't like how the medication you're on makes you feel then you can speak with your doctor about switching to another medication or switching doses. The medicine is there to help you and not hurt you. But if it's not right for you it can be a terrible time so don't be afraid to speak up if you're getting treatment and feel like any part of it isn't working well for you.

Really well said
I first took an SSRI - and I was working - and it drove me ironically to the level of the play I was lighting - The Crucible. The clients were very happy so no bad there. To put a silver lining on it, I think it was brilliant I was at least as crazy as the play while still able to do my job very well. I experienced panic in a supermarket. A mate of mine - with the 2nd design with the clients and dose was up to 45mg - asked what drugs are you on you grinning lunatic? SSRI was wrong for me. Lexapro. Mirtazapine may be better. I now have Zyban and mirtazapine.

I take Remeron (Mirtazapine) to sleep, rather than any other issues.
