I am getting PM notifications but when I log on there is nothing in my inbox. Also I believe that I have credit but cannot send messages in other forums. Any help appreciated.

There's probably another account that's associated to your email. Have you ever used PrimeGrid from another account, or through a group account like Science United?

If you're willing to use this new account and abandon your old credit, then download and install BOINC, and connect to primegrid with the account you are posting with to the BOINC manager.
Else, someone else could help since I have no science united experience.

Science United is problematic.

Since May of 2019, Science United uses a group account and lumps all of its participants into that single account. That has two implications for Science United users:

All of your discoveries are from an account that isn't associated with a real person, and we have no idea whose computer actually discovered something. If something needs to be reported to T5K, we have to report it under the double checker's name. That means if you're using Science United, it's impossible to be the discover of any prime.

A secondary effect is that any system generated PMs (Private Messages) from discovering either AP27 sequences, SGS primes, or GFN-15 primes (none of which are reportable to T5K) go to the group Science United account, so everyone using Science United sees the notification that there's a PM, but nobody can actually see the PM.

Note that this doesn't just apply to PrimeGrid. On any other project where you are personally awarded some sort of reward, be it badges or acknowledgement for particular work or discoveries, it will not be possible if you're using Science United. You don't have an individual identity as far as the BOINC projects are concerned, so you can't be rewarded for your contributions.

For those reasons, I recommend using your real account to crunch at PrimeGrid rather than using Science United.
