Just wondering if anyone is using Navi cards successfully on PrimeGrid? I don't have one, but with the just launched 5500 I'm having another look.
As far as I'm aware, the compute support on Windows sounds like it is broken, with reports that folding@home and seti@home either don't work at all, or produce bad work. In searching the forums here, I only saw a single post with a user reporting problems running AP on it.
I don't need one really, so it is more just to have another different card. If it can't be used safely for compute, there isn't much point in me getting one...

Hi,
a lot of Problems with my RX 5700. GFN-22 and DYFL nearly 100% invalid. AP 27 no valid WU...same for GFN-16. This is what i see after some Tests and last Challenge. I have 3 RX 5700, so i have 3x "will not work" in my System. :-(

As reported on other projects (SETI, Einstein), new drivers 20,1,1 should solve Your problem.

Did anybody test the test the new driver (20.1.1.) over in the einstein-forum it looks like a solution.

I am also will get one in the next few weeks and would like to continue crunching.

I would really like to see how they perform at manual sieving :).

Looks like 5700XT works now with DYFL with driver 20.1.2

My first valid DYFL. | |

Moin,
yes, 20.1.2. is a solution for Einstein and Seti. Next days i will test PG again.

Moin,
thanks for the testing and please keep us up to the news, with the rx5600 out, i think i will upgrade in spring time and i dont want to go team green again.

Moin,
AP 27 still not work on the RX 5700, but GFN-16 running fine now...~1,5 min per WU. So now i have to test GFN-22 and DYFL. Or have anyone already tried it?
*Edit: Adrenalin 20.1.3*

I still haven't bought a navi card, and with rumours of big navi getting ever closer, I might as well wait for that. Still, good to hear the situation is improving.

I send two DYFL back to PG and both are valid! Runtime is ~65h.
My Wingmans use RTX 2080S and 2070S and need under 30h. Okay, the RX 5700 are not very fast, but 350€ for it, is okay. RTX 2070S ~550€ and RTX 2080S ~800€ in Germany.
If somebody can try it too, with the same Result, we can say, DYFL works!
At Einstein, the RX is a Weapon. Faster than a 2080ti at Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1. 6 Minutes per WU, if only 1 is running. 4 WUs at the same time on one GPU, 20,5 Minutes...so 5 Minutes per WU.
5 WUs still very fast 25,75 Minutes. I think the Limit is the Number of CPU-Threads or GPU-RAM.

I just got major Problems on GFN - Tasks, one GFN 20 was finished, but also a lot of crashes, and i mean pc crashes and random restarts, i am now testing milkyway@home and for the last 60Minutes it looks fine.

Yes the older AMD cards are generally better than the new AMD or even alot of Nvidia cards at Projects that require 'dual precision', the newer AMD and some Nvidia cards have gotten worse in the dual precision percentages because gaming doesn't use it.
I have an AMD 5870 that just kicks butt on Einstein and MilkyWay workunits!!! It will crunch PrimeGrid workunits as well but not nearly as well as my 1060's or 1080's do.
