I would like to see a new Leader Board for Top Badges, a summary listing the total number of each badge currently awarded among all participants. For instance we know that a silver badge supersedes a bronze badge, so when someone acquires a silver badge, the count of silver badges increases by one and the count of bronze badges decreases by one.

Since badges are awarded by subproject, it might make more sense to count badges grouped by colour and subproject, rather than just by colour.

How many bronze badges should be needed to beat one silver badge?

A rule would be needed if you want to rank all users based on their badges. In the end, would it be much different than the total credit? Maybe, but that depends on how you calculate the "badge rank".

The thought of such a thing has occurred to me. The only purpose I can think of for it is that some people might find it interesting (which could increase their interest in the project).

I did come up with some ideas. An overall display of badges could be displayed by number of badges (where two badges of any level outrank any single badge), or by badge level (where one higher badge outranks any number of lower badges). Perhaps the minimum badge qualifying for ranking could be specified in these displays. Badge rank for a single subproject might also be available, as could some sort of scoring system.

For the significant discovery badges, all I can see is a listing by number of badges, or by number of discoveries. Similarly for TdP jerseys.

I wasn't interested enough to try to code these myself, so that's as far as I got.

Obviously I didn't put any thought into alternative interpretations of my request, hence the ambiguity.

My idea is to shed light on the global distribution of participant achievements,
rather than ranking individuals or groups of individuals on credits.

Example: there are X bronze PPS sieve badges and Y gold 321 LLR badges among all participants.
So X ranks higher than Y if X > Y.

People are welcome to offer alternatives which might be more interesting than my proposal.

Sounds great.
A list of how many badges there are - listed by type (bronze, etc) and also by project.
It might also be interesting to list how much computing power is being used now, by project and total.

Count the number of consecutive identical badges in that list, for each unique badge.
The totals omit individual participants and cumulative scores.

Since there's only 1 double-tuquoise GFN badge, it would be at the bottom of the list.

Ah now I'm with you. Yes sacrilege. It would have to take account of badge weight in the ordering. Badge weight, then count?

While that's technically possible with the credit badges, it's not only not possible, but doesn't really make sense with the non-credit badges. (Think of how you would classify the badge.)

Yes, credit badge only. It would be messy for other badges, and worse for TdP badges that change every year.
As Free-DC presents the full list, I guess someone having access to PG stats could calculate the summary.

Petaflops per hour would be better and maybe? easier to implement.
Considering that most single gpu-s are in the teraflops range.
Looking at FP32 (float) performance only, then i have been running at 10 teraflops for years now.
