12c/12t (24t capable, but I have HT disabled) is my highest CPU core count (I have many systems, I can't really designate a main one).
That is a dual Xeon E5-2620. I doubt that I'll be buying any more dual-processor systems. At one point it seemed to make sense, but not with today's CPUs (and multithreaded LLR) it doesn't seem to any more.
Other than those, 6c/6t (again, HT disabled).

I switch systems all the time depending on what I want to do:
Mac Mini late 2012 4c/8t or Mac Mini late 2014 2c/4t, second gen. Core-i Windows and Linux boxes 4c/8t, and finally my MacBook Pro late 2010 with a Core2Duo.
I have other machines that I decided not to use anymore or which at least won't be used much longer.

My main machine is a 1950X Threadripper, 16 cores/32 threads. I also have a second PC that I sometimes use, but it's primarily for monitoring my computers via BoincTasks (an i5 750 quadcore).

8c/16t Ryzen 1800x. I feel so average.
Feeling like such a little fish in a big pond. I wish I was so lucky to have multiple 32 thread machines and 980 / 1080 /2080 GPUs...(though my electric bill probably says otherwise ;) |

16c/16t - I'm only using 8 cores at the moment as there is a limitation on available current. |

I have a bit over 100 total cpu cores crunching and my electric bill is more than twice what most of my neighbors pay, 3 times what a more conservative neighbor pays!! I have 16 machines running most with higher end gpu's in them. It also takes work/time every day to keep them all crunching. The point is be careful what you wish for. |

8c / 8t HT off... not just my "main" machine... effectively my *only* machine.
I have a 2c / 2t laptop which can run PG but I don't use it because it runs too hot and I don't want to fry it.
I have a couple boxes around which are 0c / 0t ... they are dead and destined for the hazardous waste place when I get around to it.
